Passport applications - only if currently urgent or necessary!
Due to the latest lockdown, the recent closure of the passport section and the upcoming deadline for applications under the UK EU settlement scheme, we are confronted with a very high demand for passport and ID card appointments.
We endeavour to provide as many appointments as possible under ongoing social distancing measures, processing documents as quickly as possible.
Deadline for applications under the UK EU settlement scheme is 30 June 2021. We would therefore like to prioritise appointment bookings for customers who have not yet applied for settled/pre-settled status and who require a passport for this purpose.
We are appealing to those customers whose current documents are still valid for several months to delay their applications until a later date.
Currently only the following applicants should consider booking an appointment: those, whose documents have already expired, are due to expire shortly or first applications for newborns.
We would like to appeal to all other applicants (e.g. dual citizens who have other travel documents available) to refrain from booking appointments and to bear with us for the time being.

Thank you for your understanding and stay healthy!
