The Day of German Unity is the German national holiday.

The German Embassy is again planning to host an event to celebrate the Day of German Unity in London this year (1st October 2026). The Ambassador is inviting high-level representatives from politics, business, culture and civil society to celebrate the close and wide-ranging relationship between the UK and Germany. As in the past, we are inviting businesses to showcase the richness of German-British business relations and Germany’s excellence as a business location. The topic of this year´s event is “renewable energies”. The event will take place in cooperation with the Federal State of Hamburg.

This collaboration is based on the Federal Government's Sponsorship Guidelines and the Foreign Office's Sponsorship Guidelines for German Missions Abroad for the Day of German Unity.
