Tag the German Embassy London and use #ShoutOutForGerman to feature your school activities, favourite German words, travel memories, or even a clip of you dancing to a viral German song. Whether it’s a quick shout-out to your favourite German teacher, an hommage to German traditions or your favourite German TV show – anything goes and will highlight the impact of German in classrooms, on campuses, and beyond.

What: #ShoutOutForGerman– A celebration of German language in the UK

When: 17 – 21 March 2025

How: Post your experiences, activities, offers for German language and teaching etc. during the week of 17-21 March 2025 with #ShoutOutForGerman and tag the German Embassy London in your post. Posts can range from short videos to pictures to infographics or anything else you can think of.

Why: We are paying tribute to all the schools, teachers and champions of German inside and outside of classrooms who work tirelessly to encourage and strengthen the case for language learning. We know there are countless activities in German happening across the UK throughout the year - with this week-long campaign, we want to celebrate them and give them the attention they deserve. The campaign is part of the German Ambassador’s initiative “Making the case for German”.
